Journal Guidelines
Editorial Policy
- The journal accepts manuscripts with a similarity index of less than 10%, ensuring originality through the use of plagiarism detection software. Authors must also ensure that the manuscript is not generated using AI tools.
- The journal confirms that the submitted work has not been published elsewhere.
- It respects authors’ rights and ensures that all cited work is properly
- Although authors are required to submit a similarity report, the journal independently cross-verifies submissions using plagiarism detection
- All official communication is conducted directly with the corresponding author, especially in the case of multiple authors.
- Manuscripts are considered for publication only after a rigorous multi-stage review process.
- To support academic engagement, decisions regarding manuscript acceptance are made as early as possible.
- An acknowledgement of manuscript submission is sent to the author within one week in the prescribed format.
- A separate record (Excel sheet) is maintained to ensure transparency in the review and publication process.
- Complete disclosure of journal information—including objectives, periodicity, department/division/institute details, contact information and the names of editors—is provided on the journal’s homepage.
- After final acceptance, the journal publishes details including:
Title of the article

REVIEW POLICY
The Journal employs a rigorous multi-stage review process that necessitates substantially longer processing periods:
Preliminary Evaluation of Submissions:
All manuscripts undergo an initial assessment to ensure thematic relevance to school education and teacher education, followed by a mandatory plagiarism verification.
External Scholarly Review:
Each manuscript is coded and forwarded simultaneously to two independent reviewers. Given the academic rigor involved, reviewers generally require no less than four weeks to complete their evaluation, even with periodic reminders.
Author Revision and Resubmission:
After reviewer comments are compiled, authors are formally allotted 10–15 days for revision; however, experience indicates that authors frequently need extended time—sometimes exceeding one month—to address the feedback comprehensively.
Selection and Publication Capacity:
Each issue publishes approximately 14–15 articles selected from about 100 rigorously reviewed submissions, reflecting a competitive acceptance rate of nearly 15 percent and the journal’s commitment to high-quality scholarship.
Publication Ethics Statement
Plagiarism
As per the policy of Voices of Teachers and Teacher Educators, manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 10 percent on Turnitin will not be considered for review. Authors are strongly encouraged to verify the similarity index using available online tools prior to submission. When citing the work of others or their own previous work, authors should avoid excessive or lengthy quotations. The manuscript should present the authors’ interpretation of the cited material in their own words. Proper credit must be given for all referenced work, and if the referenced work is central to the paper, its essence may be incorporated, but verbatim text should not be used. Authors are also encouraged to conduct a plagiarism check and attach the report, if possible, to facilitate a smoother and faster review process.
(These steps have to be kept in mind, as it is difficult to take up multiple similarity checks for a given manuscript and to have a back-and-forth exchange with the author in that regard).
AI generated Content
The journal does not accept AI-generated content. When AI-assisted tools are used during manuscript preparation, authors are required to ensure that the proportion of AI-generated text remains below 20%. Manuscripts in which AI-assisted tools do not indicate any detectable percentage of AI-generated content will be considered compliant with this policy.
Correction, Complaints and Retraction Policy
Correction: Authors are advised to implement the modifications suggested by the reviewers, and gentle reminders are sent to ensure timely completion of the revisions.
Filing a Complaint: Complaints are submitted via a designated email or online form, with supporting evidence.
Acknowledgment and Preliminary Assessment: The editorial team confirms receipt and conducts an initial evaluation.
Review and Investigation: After thorough investigation, Authors are informed in a proper mail and assure that decisions are communicated in writing within a specified timeframe (e.g., 4–6 weeks).
Retraction Policy: It is ensured that author-initiated retraction is completed prior to the commencement of the copy-editing process.
Feedback/Suggestions
Readers are encouraged to provide feedback or suggestions. Any necessary corrections are addressed before the publication of the next issue in case of discrepancies or inaccuracies.
