Abstract

Preparedness of teachers will majorly decide effectiveness of climate change education in schools. Several studies have shown that teachers lack adequate knowledge about climate change. In addition of knowledge, how teachers deliver the concepts, concerns and controversies are equally important. Hence, tailoring professional development courses based on teachers need will be crucial for successful implementation of climate change education. This paper presents the views of teachers from the United States, about professional development in climate change.
