Abstract
This paper examines the effectiveness of integrated robotics learning packages using LEGO Mindstorms in developing problem-solving skills in science in elementary school students. The study was done throughout the 14 weeks in Class VI in a school in Pune city of India. A quasi-experimental design was selected for the study where two intact classes were taken and randomly assigned as experimental and control groups. The experimental group was taught with robotics intervention, whereas the control group was taught with the conventional method. The post-test scores of problem-solving skills in the science test were analysed for both the experimental and control group using ANCOVA (Analysis of Covariance). The results showed that there is a significant increase in mean scores on problem-solving tests in the post-test of the experimental group than the scores of the control group.
