About the Journal

The Indian  Educational Review (IER)  is a bi-annual research journal, first brought out by the National  Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi in 1961.  The journal  publishes articles and   researches on  educational   policies and practices   and values material that  is useful to   practitioners in the contemporary times. The  journal also provides   a  forum  for  teachers  to   share their experiences   and concerns  about    schooling processes,  curriculum, textbooks,  teaching-learning and  assessment practices. IER   aims to enhance  the  theory and  practice   of research in school and teacher education. The journal covers a wide  range of issues reports, reviews and  empirical  findings   including   studies   in  interdisciplinary perspectives. The journal  disseminates   research findings  through publication on a regular basis in the months of January and July every year.
