Submissions
Author Guidelines
In the VTTE Journal, detailed guidelines for authors, including instructions for both pre-submission and post-submission processes, are provided as follows:
The length of an article should be between 2,500 and 7,000 words, including references and appendices. Each manuscript must contain the title, author details, abstract, keywords, and clearly defined sections and subsections appropriate to the manuscript type, along with proper referencing. Author details should include the name, professional title, ORCID (if available), designation, full affiliation (with expanded names of department and institution followed by acronyms in parentheses), complete address, and email. Manuscripts must be submitted in MS Word, written in Times New Roman 12-point font or Unicode (for Hindi), double-spaced, and saved using a shortened form of the manuscript title. Figures and tables should be neatly aligned, clearly labelled, and captioned, with figure captions placed below figures and table titles placed above table.
Manuscripts must be written in clear, coherent, and grammatically correct English (UK) or Hindi. Authors should thoroughly proofread their work for spelling, punctuation, grammar, and syntax, and avoid jargon or unnecessarily complex language. Appropriate capitalization, correct use of symbols, and overall clarity should be maintained. Authors must refer to APA 7th-edition guidelines for best practices in academic writing.
- All references must follow APA 7th-edition style and include complete and accurate information such as author initials, surnames, titles, publishers, journal names, volume numbers, and page Only relevant references should be included, as an excessively long list may distract rather than add value.
- As per the VTTE policy, manuscripts with a similarity index higher than 10 percent (Turnitin) will not be considered. Authors are encouraged to check the similarity index before submission. Direct quotations should be minimal, and the manuscript should present the authors’ own interpretation of cited work. When possible, authors should attach a plagiarism report to accelerate the review process.
- Revised manuscripts must clearly show changes using Track Changes, Google Edit mode, or colour coding without revealing the identity of the author(s). Authors should also provide a separate response file listing reviewer comments and corresponding responses. File names must be appropriate: new submissions should use a shortened manuscript title, and revised versions should include indicators such as “revised” or “revised_2.” Response documents should be clearly titled, for example, “Table of Responses_<Short Title>.” All correspondence regarding the manuscript should continue within the original email thread to ensure smooth communication with the VTTE team.
These guidelines are clearly outlined to maintain quality and transparency, build trust among contributors, and minimize the effort required from authors during the submission and review process.
